It goes without saying that this is not a plein aire painting. I took a photo at 36th street on the way out of town and in a driving rain storm.

At the foot of 14th Street in Astoria is the old ferry dock unused since 1963 when the bridge to Washington was completed.
Boatyard Sunrise

An old wooden fishing boat I caught at sunrise in the Astoria boatyard. It showing signs of age and sadly will likely rot away eventually.
