This is one of several painting I did from our visit to NYC in June. I was attracted to the bright pink color of this townhouse in the West Village.

Done for "Different Strokes for Different Folks"
It rains a lot in Astoria. This painting was inspired by a trip to the Astoria Coffee House. The scene looks down 11th Street past the Liberty Theater to the Columbia River.
I am a Bend, Oregon, artist who paints in a variety of mediums; oil, watercolor and acrylic. I've recently been working on about everything under the sun, Still life, urban street scenes, dogs, fruit. And I'm doing more and more plein air, finding these paintings sometimes more satisfying than studio painting from photographs.
